Home Making a Difference... One Animal at a Time!

Wish List

Caring for all of the animals at Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS) requires a lot of time, love, money, and supplies. Please help by donating these "Wish List" items, the things we use in the day-to-day care of our animals and shelter operations.  The items we need most are in bold.  You can also  download the list here.

We also encourage you to hold a "Donation Drive" for the shelter at your school, place of employment, neighborhood, with your civic organization, youth group or troop.

Dropping off Donations

All donations can be dropped off Monday – Friday (9am – 2pm and 6pm – 8pm) and Saturday and Sunday (9am - 4 pm).

If you need assistance with your donation or are dropping off a donation from a collection drive , please contact Cathy Lent, DAWS Community Outreach Coordinator, to schedule your donation drop-off.

Additionally, all specialty visits to the shelter (Scout Troops, School & Youth Groups, etc.) must be scheduled in advance. Email Susan at skeller@daws.org.

You can find directions to the shelter, which is located at 147 Grassy Plain Street in Bethel, CT on our Contact Us page. Danbury Animal Welfare Society is a 501(c)3 charitable organization and your donation is tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law - ask for a receipt!
