TOBY
Toby is a striking Shepherd mix who is approx 2yrs of age. The shelter environment is too stressful for him, so we are looking for a foster home to help Toby get ready for adoption. Toby needs a foster home that will provide boundaries and help build his confidence. Since he was not socialized properly as a pup, he needs help in trusting people again. We are looking for a foster home with no kids, and probably no cats. Toby does do well with other dogs with his same energy level.
Toby is not available during open house hours, so if you are an experienced dog owner with a proven training record, and are interested in fostering Toby, please email dogs@daws.org for more details.
UPDATE: Toby has recently been on many off site excursions with our volunteers. He enjoys hiking in our local parks with volunteers and their dogs....or some of his shelter canine friends. He loves the car rides....looking out the window and letting the breeze blow on his face. Toby has repsonded to training very well....doing sit, heel and stay on command. Why not consider giving Toby a chance if you think your home would be a good match for him?
