DAWS Participates in Ann's Place Festival of Trees

Danbury Animal Welfare Society will participate in Ann’s Place 9th Annual Festival of Trees on Saturday November 19th from 10 am-8 pm and Sunday November 20th 10 am-5 pm, at the Matrix Conference and Banquet Center.

Schmoopy's Birthday Party to Benefit DAWS

The mascot for Danbury's Trader Joe's, Schmoopy, is having a birthday party on November 11. Purchase a t-shirt at the party and the proceeds will be donated to DAWS!

Storm Update: DAWS is Back on Schedule

**Update Nov. 2: Power is restored to the shelter and Open House hours are back on regular schedule** From Nov. 1: The freak October storm has left DAWS without power.

Thank You and Toby Update

Thanks to the generousity of so many people, Toby is leaving DAWS for Forever Home, a sanctuary in Knotts Island, North Carolina, where he will receive more training and rehabilitation in the hopes of eventually placing him in an adoptive home.

Quick Actions and Teamwork Prevent a Feral Cat Colony

In September, DAWS Volunteers and Staff partnered to make a difference in the lives of cats found in the Applewoods neighborhood in Bethel.

2011 Walk Raises Over $54,000

Our 22nd Annual Walk for Animals, held on September 25, was a terrific success. More than $54,000 was raised but we're still collecting donations toward our goal of $75,000

Making a Difference for Toby

Toby is a 4-year old Shepherd mix that's been at DAWS since 2008. Because his future is uncertain, DAWS is trying to raise a minimum of $5,000 to fund Toby's admittance at Spirit Animal Sanctuary.
