VERNON

Vernon in his new home with his sister Patchy

Vernon is doing very well!  I took him to our vet on Wednesday morning - thankfully the office is close to my home because he sings in the car.  He checked out well.  He weighed 11 lbs 15 oz.  I didn't think he looked that heavy which means my Patchy who does look like she put on weight must be much heavier now.

The two cats can now be in the same room without issues - though Patchy keeps an eye on Vernon.  She does hiss at him at times and he just responds with a look of "what did I do" or "who me?".  He's such a nice cat!

Since we let him out of his carrier in our family room down stairs, he now considers that room as his space.  He spends  his evenings there and if he gets nervous, he returns to his space.

One thing he does that I think is funny though - he watches TV.  I don't think he'll turn into a couch potato - it's more as if he's trying to figure out if what he's seeing is real.

I'll keep you updated on his new life.
