Cat Adoption Process
Our adoption process is designed to match the animals in our care with the most appropriate home. We take our responsibility to the animals in our shelter very seriously and work hard to find them safe loving forever homes where they will be provided care for life.

We recommend that you do some research and planning before making the decision to add a pet to your home.
Consider, is now a good time for your family to add a cat to your home? Think about what age, size and temperament of cat would best suit your lifestyle. Decide if you are ready to take on the daily responsibilities and financial obligations of pet ownership.

Check out our pets online and come visit our shelter.
We have adoption hours Monday - Friday from 6pm-8pm and Weekends from 2pm-4pm. You can also set up a private appointment to see a specific cat or cats.
Visit our Cat Gallery.

Fill out an adoption application and speak to an adoption counselor.
You will be asked to fill out an application for the cat(s) or kitten(s) in which you are interested. An Adoption Counselor will review your application to make sure this particular cat is a good match for you and your family.  Your application will be processed:  We contact veterinary reference (if applicable) and personal reference and verify home ownership (a mortgage statement or utility statement) or landlord permission to allow a cat on premises.  Please Note:  Cats do not go home the same day applications are submitted. See Cat Application below.

Finalize the adoption.
Our adoption fee for cats(over 6 months of age) is $100. This fee includes a veterinary exam, vaccinations, and spay/neuter.

Our adoption fee for kittens (under 6 months of age) is $125. This fee includes a veterinary exam, age appropriate vaccinations up to the date of adoption and spay/neuter.  Please Note:  Kittens that are too young to be spayed/neutered at time of adoption will be scheduled to come back for spay or neuter when they are old enough.
